Course Description:
The following course is a detailed, evidence-based review and analysis of current interventions for young adults with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). While pediatric research in this area continues to grow at a steady pace, research pertaining to young adults remains limited; however, this course prepares practitioners by providing an overview of ASD and potential co-occurring disorders that impact function and occupational performance, evaluation tools to create client-centered treatment plans, current evidence-based interventions, and updated definitions and language used to promote neurodiversity in a clinical setting.
